 Clinic Role & Qualification
 
The role of the Clinic Manager is to provide hearing health care services of the highest quality to exceed external and internal customer expectations and to support the mission of Sonus.  The Clinic Manager is accountable for the success of an individual clinic.  Duties include   provide basic diagnostic testing, amplification selection, fitting and counseling to all ages. You will have the freedom to choose from a wide variety of products. Develop and direct grassroots marketing and patient support programs.  Conduct monthly staff meetings and assist with the supervision and training of clinical fellows, other audiologists, and Hearing Aid Dispensers.  Serve in a lead capacity as a resource to other associates working in the same clinic(s). Incumbents will oversee and manage the completion and quality of the work they assign to Patient Care Coordinators, clinical fellows, other audiologists, and Hearing Aid Dispensers.  Assists with the supervision of clinical fellows or the training of other audiologists.  May conduct performance appraisals for Patient Care Coordinators, clinical fellows, other audiologists, or Hearing Aid Dispensers at the discretion of the Regional Manager.  Requirements include Audiology and/or Hearing Aid Dispensing license and a minimum of 5 years diagnostic and/or dispensing experience.  Demonstrated proficiency in hearing aid dispensing to include programmable hearing aids.  Must be familiar with PC’s and conventional software packages.  Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.

Two full-time Audiology positions are available in Pennsylvania with Sonus Hearing Care Professionals, the largest professional hearing care network in North America.  The positions are for our well-established York and Hanover clinics, providing patient care from pediatrics to geriatric.  We are looking for skilled, caring individuals to join our team in providing the highest quality preventative, evaluative and rehabilitative hearing care.  Audiologists would provide a full range of diagnostic evaluation including VNG, ABR, OAE, Etc., as well as amplification selection, fitting and counseling.  Doctoral level Audiologists preferred, but would consider strong Master’s level candidates.

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at The Pennsylvania State University (University Park) seeks candidates interested in either FULL or PART-TIME work to provide undergraduate instruction for one three-credit introductory level course in Audiology per semester, advise undergraduate students regarding academic and professional development, and provide leadership and administrative oversight for direct clinical activities in the Penn State Hearing Clinic.  Individuals will be hired as fixed-term faculty (non-tenure track) appointments.   The CSD Department is celebrating its 75th anniversary of academic, research and outreach excellence in the discipline.    

A graduate degree in audiology (minimum of a Master's degree), Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A), and prior clinical experience are required.
The successful candidate should possess excellent management/administrative skills; outstanding interpersonal, consultative and advising skills; and strong oral and written communication skills.  Candidates with budget experience, hearing aid dispensing experience, and teaching experience at the college-level are highly desirable.
